Favorite teacher:
My math professor, she's small so she doesn't block the board when she is writing down equations and she doesn't make you feel like an idiot when you get something wrong, without losing her forceful touch.
Worst teacher:
My psych professor, I love the course, and I don't have any problems with his person, but his grading scheme is super weird, I got a 0 on homework because I sounded too formal, and then I got a 50% bonus on a another piece of homework because I wrote some sad story about my dog in it. I have an A in the class, but never know what to expect.
How about you guys?

4 RepliesFavourite Teacher: My RE and subsequently first Psychology teacher (I had 4 in 2 years...) He's one of those well travelled/lived a long life sort of people, pretty much every lesson he would have a different story for us. How he helped people cross from Eastern Germany into the west, with pictures of the guards chasing them/shooting at them. How he lost his finger... he always had a different story for that, Shotgun hunting for Rattlesnakes in texas or making fertiliser bombs in old pieces of metal railing... He always had a lot of patience for the kids who wanted to learn and he didn't tolerate idiots much either. Then when I finished High School and went into the Sixth form, he was teaching Psychology :D After a couple of rough starts for the new essays, he basically showed me the way they were marked and taught me the structure of a full marks essay. I then got 100%s on every Psychology essay from all four of my teachers, which was awesome :D Sadly he retired after the first year of Psychology and so I ended up with a few temporary ones and it all got a bit muddled but he was still the best. He also used to help organise/cover for the little group that we had, we pretty much turned the disused physiotherapy room into a clubhouse for lunch, breaktimes and for lessons where we'd collect the work and take it out of the lesson to do in 5 minutes/spend the rest of the hour playing games on the computer <.< It worked out quite well because most of the people in the physio room club were ones who used it for it's proper use and so it wasn't being misused, just re appropriated <.< We did fish and chip days for birthdays and since there were about 10 of us in the 'club' they happened fairly frequently <.< Then when the N@zi bitch that was head of 'disability management' decided that allowing kids in wheelchairs or those with autism to have fun outside of the locked 'inclusion suite' was not going to be allowed - he let us use his classroom instead :D Least favourite teacher - I would have said wordwork/resistant materials, since he seemed to really hate me <.< but to be fair I wasn't very good in that lesson lol. Except after I went to my history teacher's funeral with a few other students and him, it turns out that he's really a nice guy. Just a gordon ramsay of the techroom... My RE/Psychology teacher did a lot of the readings/eulogy as well, that was nice. Quite sad though, my history teacher was a great guy <.< I would probably settle on either my maths teacher, who was just an unpleasant bitch or the N@zi 'head of disability management' whilst she wasn't specifically a teacher, she made life hell for my friends because she seemed to have a vendetta against people in wheelchairs.
Rambling and reminiscing over the good old days... *sigh* I should get on with my assignment <.<
