I've grown to hate Halo 3 because of this forum and the fanboys that continue to live in the past.

The times have come and gone so get over it already. All of your crying and complaining isn't helping the matter in any way. Even if 343i made Halo 5 a Halo 3 clone you will still complain and bitch about the game just like the rest of the fanboys.

Oh, and more generalizations I see, like me wanting a Halo 3 clone like how MW3 was an MW2 clone. THAT is a -blam!-ing clone, not a game that keeps the original gameplay mechanics.

While this guy is over the top he does have a point. The new games just aren't matching up to Halo 2/3. And maybe that wouldn't be so bad if Halo Waypoint wasn't such a horrid place. Reach was a shitty game, but it did okay because Bungie was in charge of the community.

Pretty much exactly what I think. The sense of community "sort of" remained intact during Reach, but Waypoint and 343i completely obliterated everything that this community once was once they took full control. Even people who like Halo 4, such as yourself, know that Waypoint is an absolute and complete shithole, along with their washed-up, wanna-be Halo "community".
