I was just poking around and I didn't realize those new threads [url=http://www.bungie.net/en/Groups/Detail?groupId=18405]are pinned on our homepage.[/url] MoonDawg's isn't. Perhaps that may be why. Non-admin users cannot edit public threads (even if they create them) IF they are pinned.
So the repro would be:
[quote]1. "Member" creates private thread in private group
2. "Admin" makes thread public
3. "Admin" pins thread to private group's hompage
4. "Member" cannot edit their own public thread[/quote]
Some food for thought. That could very well be working as intended. But something to know.
I don't think my thread was ever pinned as an announcement, and I still had that issue. However, the issue has gone away for me now. I assumed that an internal Bnet update had rectified the issue. Apparently, that's not the case. :)
