Unfortunately I have no idea how to run it compatibly with windows 8, or if that is even possible, fortunately if all else fails I can borrow my dad's old desktop that runs windows 95. Anyone have any ideas as to what I may need to do?

1 ReplyAt the goodwill? Really good find. Pity whoever gave it up.

Have you tried turning it off then back on again?

That is a tough one tartarusfan. I don't have Windows 8, but I concur with Progo. If you are having problems running older games in a newer Windows OS, compatibility mode is your best bet. If you do get Myth TFL running, you will definitely want to pick up patch 1.5 from Project Magma.net. Myth TFL 1.5 patch If you can't get Myth: TFL to run at all, you may want to try finding a copy of Myth II: Soulblighter. It isn't freeware, but can generally be found for cheap on amazon or ebay. Myth II benefits from more extensive fan updates than Myth TFL, so it is more likely that it has been updated to run in Windows 8. I run Myth II in Windows 7 with no problems. If you go with Myth II: Soulblighter instead, be sure to pick up the latest patch from Project Magma.net Myth II: Soulblighter 1.8 In addition, you can use Myth II: Soulblighter to play the entire Myth TFL single player campaign by using the Fallen Levels plugin. This plugin is entirely free. The Fallen Levels

Edited by Progo: 4/7/2014 1:51:42 AMI believe it is possible. The link will tell you how to run it in 'compatibility mode.' I play Fallout 3 on my Windows 7 laptop this way, though it's less of a disparity between generations, so be warned the game may act buggy.

Turning on the computer is a good place to start.
