"Your's"? No one "owns" another person. In the end, everyone is free to make their own decisions, their own mistakes, their own choices. If you care for (or about) someone else, they probably already know (to one extent or another). Depending on you, depending on them, depending on how you both interact, how those feelings are expressed can be done in an almost infinite number of ways. There are no rules. If someone chooses to keep their thoughts and feelings to themselves? That is their choice. They will live with the consequences. If they choose to put their feelings into words or actions? Again, they will live with the consequences.
