Cloud computing is already implemented on a small scale in Titanfall and Forza. Id say give it a year before more games start getting creative with it.
Im sure Halo 5 will utilise it.
*Why are there so many people being negative towards advancements in gaming?
English

No one's being negative towards advancements in gaming. The reactions are overly dramatic, sure, but that's just how the internet reacts to stuff. The questions raised are completely valid. It's completely true that the demonstration was made in idealized conditions where the processing power used for the physics was much more than would realistically be given to the players. It's true that the communication between the PC and the server was probably done on an enterprise grade connection with a latency of a few milliseconds. The demo was impressive. But the technology is not coming tomorrow, it's not coming next year, nor is it coming the year after. The technology is not ready for prime, the infrastructure isn't there yet. That's the reality, and that's what the negativity is directed towards, not the technology itself.

extremely bold assumptions you got there

The main reason people are being negative is that they're used to consumer-oriented shows like E3 and CES, where the tech that's shown off is going to be on the market pretty soon. So when they see something like this, they think "lol how is that going to be in my Walmart tomorrow". The actual development of tech isn't necessarily hidden from people, but it's usually not something they care to see.
