Despite having left ACIV until recently, I feel franchise fatigue again with this series. Hopefully it's nearly done. I mean, I won't get this 'Comet' (Bungie mad at having its Destiny DLC title used [maybe]) because I'm pretty much done with the 360 at this point, at least until GTA V gets story DLC, unless Games with Gold actually gives me something worthwhile, but still, a game a year, now two games a year, just sounds exhausting. I like commas. And I liked the War of Independence setting and story, but in the context of the game it was just poorly executed, with shitty little farmsteads and half-arsed towns to run around, not to mention the game mechanics themselves (buggy and altered from Revelations just to seem new). And naval battles were... okay. Just a bit too intense for me to want to play them all the time. Which is another reason I avoided IV for so long.
(Bungie mad at having its Destiny DLC title used [maybe])
Comet is probably just the code name for it (I hope, because it's a lame title).
because I'm pretty much done with the 360 at this point, at least until GTA V gets story DLC,
Why? It's another reason to use your 360.
unless Games with Gold actually gives me something worthwhile,
Don't hold your breath.
but still, a game a year, now two games a year, just sounds exhausting.
I agree. I don't know how I feel about getting two games. Playing as a Templar for the whole game sounds interesting, so I hope that part of the rumour is true.

 •

(Bungie mad at having its Destiny DLC title used [maybe])
Comet is probably just the code name for it (I hope, because it's a lame title).
Well, maybe Comet was Bungie's codename too. Even if it is more apt for a spacebound epic than AssCreed. inb4'in the 1970s, Abstergo discovered a mysterious comet crater featuring indications of technology from the precursor civilisations', and story.

because I'm pretty much done with the 360 at this point, at least until GTA V gets story DLC,
Why? It's another reason to use your 360.
That's a fair point, but as I said, franchise fatigue; I didn't buy Liberation HD when it became available on XBLA (although I did try the demo, and, whilst I had missed a lot of the mechanics, it was still a dull, buggy mess).

unless Games with Gold actually gives me something worthwhile,
Don't hold your breath.
Aye. I'm hoping for Fallout 3 at some point, because ever since I saw Oblivion at the cinema, I've had a hankering for some nuclear wasteland adventuring. Free-roam, not Metro. Nor STALKER, my laptop can't run that shit.
Playing as a Templar for the whole game sounds interesting, so I hope that part of the rumour is true.
Aye. Haytham was probably my favourite character of III, and (Black Flag spoiler for anyone)
masquerading as a Templar at the beginning of IV was pretty interesting.

Liberation HD (from my experience) wasn't very buggy. It was better than ACIII, as Aveline was actually a likeable character (I wish the character in AC:Unity was a female Assassin, because we need a few of those).

 • Played very similarly to ACIII. Except some swinging mechanic I can remember. The deal-breaker was reaching the demo's assassination target: I was almost directly above him, looking straight down. He was the only other character on screen besides Aveline. So I pressed X and what did she do? Leapt off the building and killed two random guards stood several metres away from the dude.
