That's the $2billion talking.
Sony is in such a good position right now, but sadly for me the Morpheus is just for the PS4. Maybe they'll change their mind after they realise they could also make money of us hopeless PC gamers who had their baby stolen from them. Or maybe they'll use this to their advantage to sell more PS4s and then give it to us?
Maybe Microsoft can do something?
But regardless, Facebook, please don't buy Sony and Microsoft tomorrow. We kind of need them before you purchase them as well and drive them into the ground.
That's the $2billion talking.
Facebook paid $2B for the company, not for its founder to say nice things. If the money is the only thing motivating the points he's making, then he could just as easily walk away with his share and tell us The Shocking Truth About Facebook. He'd still have every cent of his cash, and we would finally see how deep the rabbit hole goes.

But the problem is this. With the purchase by Facebook and his revelation that he'd turned down other offers before; it makes the appearance that he used Kickstarter (and those poor peoples' monies) as a ploy to get much bigger potential buyers interested. Then he waited until someone offered a fat-enough prize, and sold the company while giving his backers on Kickstarter the finger. The appearance is that the used them and their money, and now that he's free of Kickstarter, that he doesn't have to deliver on the bonuses that he promised in order to get their start-up money in the first place. And his own comments aren't helping to banish this appearance. It's d-baggery at its finest.

Money is not invested in a Kickstarter venture, it's blindly handed out, and as long as you can take advantage of people tripping over themselves to give you money, you should. Oculus VR used their funding to turn into a legitimate business with a potentially transformational product. Now, a company with actual experience and money has decided they want to try and make that potential a reality.

I don't know how many stories I've read about people giving away hundreds of thousands of dollars to KS "start-up's", only to have the individual disappear with their money. Kickstarter says that they'll recover it all and repay people, but what exactly can they do with just their ballsack in their hand? The people have already disappeared... If you don't mind living in a country with no extradition treaty, it's golden. lol Even if you don't move out of country, they haven't done anything to the people who've robbed investors before from Kickstarter.

I know where the money went and what it was for, but it's quite clear he's going to say what everyone wants to hear. I still have no reason to trust him.

It was a blatantly obvious joke and you failed to realise it. Talk about damage control, lol.

You're trying super hard here bro. Pretty funny.

Likewise. Especially when the entire last paragraph is satire and exaggeration and you're the only one that couldn't figure it out. Being a bit slow is common on this forum, so you're not alone. Oh, I almost forgot >implying you're not engaging in damage control

Still trying to play it off as a joke for damage control. Toppestkek
