Do followers really mean anything? And what do they do?

No, not at all.

Edited by Jaaake AU: 3/24/2014 8:30:12 PMThe number of followers you have is directly proportional to the size of your genitals in mm I have 72 followers, so my penis is 7.2cm long

It means how many people you have made lave with.

They don't mean much to the folks around here.

Edited by Charlemagne: 3/24/2014 9:45:14 PMFollowers allow you to see what the people, groups, and tags you are following are doing through your activity feed. They give you nothing and don't mean much since people don't actually tend to follow people because they want to see what they do. Some people give them a made up value that makes them feel superior, I'm not sure why. I think if the activity feed was used more it would be better, or if people even knew about it. It's not even on the app.

They mean you've followed a lot of people and they follow you back out of some misguided idea of 'gratitude'. That or they just like your posts.

Your mom follows me.
-
It is the very essence of our souls.

They mean everything

They mean everything

Followers don't mean anything. Follow me if you agree!
-
I am not sure but it feels like they stalk me.

It is like twitter. But with less meaning. Boom. Logic.

When you follow someone, their content appears in your activity feed, and their topics have a blue bar besides them for visibillity. That's all that happens in the present.
