Sounds amazing.
Just a note: the game launches in the summer, not autumn.
English
-
September is in Autumn
-
Summer lasts until 20th September, so Destiny launches this summer.
-
Well in the UK autumn starts on September 1st. Where do you live?
-
In the UK. All the seasons start at the same time everywhere on the planet. Seeing as, y'know, our annual solar cycle is what defines them.
-
So basically what you're saying is that you didn't bother looking up when autumn starts.
-
I don't need to, it's common knowledge. But if you want a source, I've linked one. This year's autumnal equinox is slightly off the 21st, mind.
-
Yeah except it isn't, Because the date of the equinox changes every year, and so the only way to reliably define the seasons for statistical comparison is to set a particular date. Which in the case of autumn is September 1st.
-
I provided a source. Can you? And another above, with a quote:
Astronomical timing as the basis for designating the temperate seasons dates back at least to the Julian calendar used by the ancient Romans. It continues to be used on many modern Gregorian calendars world-wide, although some countries like Australia, New Zealand, and Russia prefer to use meteorological reckoning.
Edited by ashdelete: 3/23/2014 6:17:02 PMhttp://www.telegraph.co.uk/topics/weather/10323435/When-does-autumn-really-start.html There you go, and yes, you've provided a link that not only agrees with what I said
although some countries like Australia, New Zealand, and Russia prefer to use meteorological reckoning.
, but also shows the ignorance of your previous comment
In the UK. All the seasons start at the same time everywhere on the planet. Seeing as, y'know, our annual solar cycle is what defines them.
Congratulations. In England we "prefer to use meteorological reckoning", as your source correctly states. So yeah the season autumn begins with the equinox, but what our entire country agrees to call autumn starts on september 1st. If you disagree then that's like saying Christmas isn't on the 25th because Jesus wasn't born then. Yes you're right, but you'll be the only one celebrating christmas in january. Reply to this, don't reply to this. Either way that's me done.

Depends on which state you live in ;)
-
Well, do Aussies call 21st June until 21st September summer or winter?
-
June 21st - September 21st would be Winter for the southern hemisphere.
-
In Texas we have Winter and Summer, which can strike at ANY time without warning.
-
damn that mus be annoying
-
I definitely keeps you on your toes.

So do the scorpions.
