A suggestion to Project Zero Command.
Next month I will begin recruiting for Two Squads. During my planing for the roles my squads will play within our clan, I believe I have encountered a problem that could potentially grow with time.
I believe the two lowest ranks in Project Zero need to be looked at.
From the beginning of the game Bungie tells us you are a Guardian, and that the fate of the galaxy lies with you.
As it currently stands with Project Zero, the first thing you are told when you meet us is that we need you to slow down, and back up. Your not quite a guardian by our standers just yet.
That seems like a bit of a kick in the nuts for a first encounter to me. I'm not sure it's encouraging or good for first impressions.
It also seems like a lot of unnecessary work for admin's who will have the extra hassle of updating the status of every new comer three times (within a period of a week or two) before they are given the position that most will end up with anyway.
It is also worth noting that as this clan plans on operating in games other than Destiny, its probably best not to get Project Zero rank titles mixed in with in-game ranks/titles.
For e.g: Guardian's, and Bounty Scavengers sound like Titles from Destiny and Star Wars.
Now flash forward to the release of games like Elder Scrolls, Deep Down, The Division, and Dying Light. Those ranks now sound completely out of place.
All the other ranks are fine. They have clear roll to play. I suggest that you scrap trainee.
Re designate Bounty Scavenger to a role that will suite those who will join us but prefer not to join a squad, our lone wolf types. Like how bikers who belong to a gang but not to any particular chapter are known as Nomads, or Masterless Samurai as Ronin.
That way they fit a roll within the clan, like the rest of us.
If someone new needs training/experience with clan members, I'm sure our lone wolves will be more than happy to show them the ropes (take them on a hunt).
Squad leaders might also assign one or two members of their own unit to assist our wolves in this role (if needed).
Thank you for your time. I look forward to meeting you all in the coming weeks.
...My bunny is ready.

And when your role is known you are simply that and need to progress further along our Destiny to achieve higher ranks for your role as either a Titan, Hunter or Warlock. Each role has their own set of ranks based on their contribution to the clan. This is the way we see to develop our Guardian, just as Bungie has designed the game. Pleases don't forget to fill us in on the Guardians you have recruited for your Squad. I look forward to seeing your squad in action on the front lines. [/quote]

Thanks for getting back to me Cuserk. I don't mean to be a pain in the ass, but I just need to get a few things clear in my head. I don't want to start the Beta confused about roles within the clan, and regulations with my squad. We will aim to be the brightest and most honorable crests on the clans coat of arms! So I just have a few more questions. When you say, these two lower ranks are prerequisites, does this mean it is at the squad commanders discretion as you whether or not the new comer is a trainee, Bounty Scavenger or Guardian within their squad? And when you say that, "when your role is known you are simply that and need to progress further along our Destiny to achieve higher ranks for your role as either a Titan, Hunter or Warlock, Each role has their own set of ranks based on their contribution to the clan." Are you referring to this from the Ranks page: "Each Guardian has a role in their Squad. They can be a Recon, Distance Overview, Heavy Calvary, and an Arcane Artist. Each described in Guardian Roles." If this is what you mean, then I am confused about a couple of things: Where are the Guardian Role description's? How is contribution to the clan determined? Do Squad Leaders decide which Guardians are promoted to Recon, Arcane Artist ect? And lastly, you said, "This the way we see to develop our Guardian, just as Bungie has designed the game." What did you mean? Do you have information about the class progression within Destiny itself. Is Arcane Artist and actual class tree in the game or something?

It is good you are keeping up with the clan and I don't think you're being a pain in the ass because you're simply asking further information which is good. In terms to the progression of your Guardian, many employees of Bungie's Destiny Development state that they want your character to be something that you can develop over time and look back and recall all the things your have done throughout our Destiny. In the clan it is similarly used. In this case your rank or so called level in the clan is based on time and effort towards the clan. So for example a I am a new player to the game and in general, new to the clan. So I would need to complete some tasks carried out by the Clan Leader or by some other higher ranking officer that has been granted permission to test out the new comer's skill and tactics. This means that your effort towards the clan is based on completion of tasks carried out by the higher permitted officer. Guardian Role descriptions are just the name we would use in the clan. We'd prefer of instead of calling everyone based on their guardian class we would use a different name in order to also add a bit of superiority to a Hunter that may be more accomplished than a newcomer. You also mentioned something on prerequisites. They are just the stages in simply finding out your skill for your preferred class. The commander will not be the one to carry the training for the newcomer. It will usually be a team squad of newcomers to efficiently observe their skill in battle or on a special occasion if not many newcomers are present then it will simply be 1 newcomer taking on the test but at a lower difficulty. Don't you worry though, I'm sure your be placed accordingly. Squad Leaders are for the most part choosing the plan but in the choice of choosing the role for each member is not given to the Squad Leader. Yes, the Squad Leader will command the squad but it is up to the Commander to decide what kind of squad it will be. There are 2 types of squads which are Varied or Solely. Varied means a mix of each guardian role and solely means that every member of the squad has the same guardian role. I think your biggest question is how i know how Bungie designed the game. In many of their Bungie Team's interviews, they have said they want Destiny something to last. What better way to do that than give the players a character that they develop themselves. As you know, most of the equipment will give other players where your have journeyed. For instance there is a player who has a Rare Exotic Pulse Rifle found solely on the Moon, then it directs the other players to also seek out and find rare loot and make a guardian that will tell a story of the guardian's journey throughout his experience in the world of Destiny. If you have any further questions, please I really don't mind at all. It's better to ask before you assume thing. It would really confuse people more if they thought that their Squad Leaders would choose their role because of the fact of I like you and I don't like you. Please feel free to ask away as I am able to answer any questions about the clan. But DO NOT ask bout wether I know what Bungie has been working on because 1. I don't live in the US and 2. I wouldn't be able to answer your questions because if I was working on Destiny, I wouldn't use my time to organize a clan when I have an exciting game to work on. See ya On the front lines.
