I was sort of disappointed they came back with a bottle episode but I still thought it was pretty good. Chandler used to play Carl pretty well in Season 1 and the early parts of S2 but he hasn't been as good this season and most of last(but he did a pretty good job when Lori died). I kind of like what they did with Michonne but I felt it was poorly handled. I do like how they handled Rick in the episode though. I was just kind of disappointed we didn't get to see more of the other characters.

I agree. But I actually liked how they handled Michonne's part of the episode. We got to see a side of her she doesn't show often. And seeing Rick in a vulnerable state allowed Carl to really get a feel for what's going on without being treated like a kid. He's a lot more mature and he need to grow into his own character instead of just rick's little helper. :/

It's not Carl's story itself but it just feels like Chandler was better suited playing a young kid rather than the character Carl has turned into. I love what the girl who plays Arya on GoT has done and she kicks ass and manages to be convincing as a vulnerable kid and a tortured kid who became a badass. It just feels like they cast him in the kid role but not the badass role because he doesn't pull it off completely(some of it is in his voice since sometimes he sounds ridiculous with his lines). As far as Michonne goes I do like that they managed to say a whole lot without saying much at all but there was something about it that didn't feel right. I don't know if it was because we didn't get to see a little more or if it was because we didn't get to see enough of the other characters but honestly Michonne to me has never been a character who can pull off so much screen time simply because she isn't interesting enough. Her actor is great but the character doesn't feel developed enough to hold a good chunk of a bottle episode on her own. I hope she gets enough screen time to become interesting but it's always been when she's around others when I really felt invested in her since they managed to bring the good parts of her out. I did like what they did with Rick and I do like how Carl is developing as a character but he didn't get the best actor.
