Are you saying people in the military should get paid millions, or that we shouldn't pay entertainers?
Entertainers- music, television, radio, etc., they bring in income. Thus they can get paid more. People in the military don't. What you're saying defies all understanding of how economics work.

Not millions, but think about how much say Miley Cyrus makes. Millions upon millions of dollars for being an idiot, while people that put thier life on the line everyday barely get paid enough to get by. I don't mean the backround people that are actually working, I'm talking about people like Beiber, Miley, Drake. Entertainers. Famous people that barely need the money.
Millions upon millions of dollars for being an idiot,
No, she gets millions of dollars because she generates millions of dollars.
while people that put thier life on the line everyday barely get paid enough to get by.
I don't know what kind of military you're in, but I and all my military family members are extraordinarily well off with great benefits and pay. That aside, you ignored the point. People in the military don't generate money. Thus you get paid a salary. You can't pay people in the military more than what a famous entertainer makes because the money simply doesn't exist. Where would it come from? Sorry, but again, that prospect ignores even the most basic principles of economics, and shows a gross misunderstanding of how the world works.
Famous people that barely need the money.
How much money somebody already has does not change how much they are bringing in. That's not even an argument.

Well the government brings in billions of dollars that they waste on things we don't need like healthcare. Yes they generate money, I get that. But should they really be paid millions for doing a couple things? Most of the times the most famous people are the people that do stupid things to keep them in the media. That's where they get their money. They generate all this money from doing whatever they want, getting millions from it and there is people that have fought, bleed, lost limbs, and lost family members and they are barely getting by. I know plenty of ex-military people that are living great with plenty of money, yet there is also a lot more that didn't want to stay in 20+ years that are barely getting by. Same with teachers, firemen and police officers. Congress gets paid a lot more and have a lot of retirement benefits that they don't really deserve. What I'm getting at is really, do they deserve the money?
Well the government brings in billions of dollars that they waste on things we don't need like healthcare.
0/10, and if you want to have an actual discussion keep that kind of idiotic bullshit out, please.
But should they really be paid millions for doing a couple things?
You don't get it. They bring in the money with those 'couple things.' It's the end result. If I were to go stand still on the sidewalk for 5 minutes and a guy thought it was great enough to give me a billion dollars, what I did would have brought in the money as an entertainer and thus I earned that billion dollars. Again, you're ignoring the most basic understandings of how the economy works.
Most of the times the most famous people are the people that do stupid things to keep them in the media. That's where they get their money. They generate all this money from doing whatever they want, getting millions from it
It. Doesn't. Matter. That is not a valid argument at all.
and there is people that have fought, bleed, lost limbs, and lost family members and they are barely getting by. I know plenty of ex-military people that are living great with plenty of money, yet there is also a lot more that didn't want to stay in 20+ years that are barely getting by.
That's great. And what's the kicker? ... They don't bring in the millions of dollars by themselves. Are you seeing a pattern yet?
What I'm getting at is really, do they deserve the money?
Completely different discussion. You asked:
Who should get paid more, Military or entertainers?
And you sided with 'military.' So you're saying either military members should get paid millions, or entertainers shouldn't get paid the money they earned. That is a completely different question than 'would you like it if one person got paid more' or something. You're ignoring basic economic principles. When someone brings in the money, they get the money. It's how the world works.

You completly missed the fact that I get that. I said so. In case you haven't heard, the government does generate billions of dollars. 3/4 of the military bugdet is going towards equipment and technology. The money is there. It's just going to other things. I get how economics works. You generate money, you get money. Yet, if a baseball player gets signed on for 250 million dollars and then breaks his arm. Guess what? Still gets that 250 million. Did he generate that money? No. And you still haven't answered my question. I didn't ask you how economics works, I asked you who should get paid more. You just took it upon yourself to be an asshole and not even care about the question and correct me when that wasn't even the -blam!-ing question. So instead of thinking about how it wouldn't work, like I never asked you, just answer and give your opinion. I don't give a crap about the economics in it, it's justva question.
and don't tell me what I asked when you haven't even answered it.
You say you get it, but that does not change the fact that you do not get it. Next, the government gets taxes. Not the military members. They did not generate the income. Next- you are implying that a contract means what I said is not right. You are ignoring the fact that contracts are there to protect those players and the company in the first place, ignoring the basic point of a contract. Next- I do not care if you asked how the economy works- it is very relevant thus must be explained to get the point across. Next- telling you why what you said is illogical is not being an asshole. I am trying yo help you understand why what you said is silly. I have been nice about it. Now, calling someone an asshole just because you do not like the facts? Well... hello Mr. Pot. Grow up and get a thicker skin mate. Next- obviously it would be super if every foot soldier could be a multi-millionaire. But that is just a silly fantasy, and how it cannot ever be is very relevant. No need to be so rude about it. You'll note how that has put off any other people from commenting. And finally- I told you what you asked with a quote since you seemed to have forgotton.

Thinking that I smoke pot? Wow. Good one. Okay, let me explain something. Answering a question is one thing. Explaining economics and "correcting" me because you're so high and mighty is another thing. I just wanted to start a discussion about if people think the military should get paid more than entertainersvor vice versa. You took it upon yourself to explain how the economy works, which I already know. I'm not this pot smoker you think I am. All I wanted to know was who should get paid more, not about the economy. I could literally care less about all that. You ARE the asshole because you think you're so smart because you're "getting your point across" when really you're just looking like an asshole. And you jump to conclusions about me and think I'm a retard. So if you aren't going to answer the question I have asked you, then just don't comment anymore.
Thinking that I smoke pot? Wow. Good one.
... What? Smoking pot? Where the hell did that come from? I never said that. What the hell is the matter with you?
Explaining economics and "correcting" me because you're so high and mighty is another thing.
I explained something to you. Whether you think I'm 'high and mighty' or not is on you. If explaining something to somebody that they don't want to hear because it conflicts with their narrow worldview makes me 'high and mighty' to you, then so be it.
I just wanted to start a discussion about if people think the military should get paid more than entertainersvor vice versa.
And I explained how one of those options is quite literally impossible.
You took it upon yourself to explain how the economy works, which I already know.
Apparently not.
I'm not this pot smoker you think I am.
Seriously- where the hell did this come from?
All I wanted to know was who should get paid more, not about the economy.
The economy DECIDES who should get paid more. That's the entire POINT.
I could literally care less about all that.
Which is why I had to explain it- because if you understood its relevance you would care about it for the sake of the discussion.
You ARE the asshole because you think you're so smart because you're "getting your point across" when really you're just looking like an asshole.
That's very rude of you. Calm down and grow up.
And you jump to conclusions about me and think I'm a retard.
I never once said that. I don't know what self-confidence issues you have, but don't project them on me.

What did I say? Was it in another language to you? Answer my question or don't comment. Simple, easy, don't care about what you have to day past that
-
What did I say?
You said a lot of things. All of which I commented on. Try reading, rather than skimming.
Answer my question or don't comment.
I answered it. Just because you don't like the answer doesn't mean it isn't an answer. Grow up and calm down, mate.
Simple, easy, don't care about what you have to day past that
Apparently you do since you're so angry about it all for whatever reason.

Then what was answer
Then what was answer
The vein popping became apparent in that post! Anyways, since you refuse to read over posts already made, I'm happy to repost one of the bits for you.
obviously it would be super if every foot soldier could be a multi-millionaire. But that is just a silly fantasy, and how it cannot ever be is very relevant. No need to be so rude about it. You'll note how that has put off any other people from commenting.
That's all I wanted. Not an economic lesson. By the way, do you live in America?

Look I'm sorry. I didn't want an internet fight because they are pointless and stupid. I got what you were saying, I got the economics in it and I do agree with you. I know it's just a "silly fantasy", but it's really just a conversation starter.
