A person waiting to spawn is not playing. You are basically shooting a non combatant, and calling it skill.
Sure it may have taken skill to get the position, but then the other team can't apply their skills, meaning they are no longer capable of playing, meaning the game may as well just end at that point, rather than make one team watch a respawn countdown.
Would you rather beat them in head to head combat, or by shooting defenseless stationary targets?
Shoot paper targets if you like spawn killing so much.

Edited by CaptKrunch: 2/10/2014 7:24:33 PMWut. Do you know what a spawn trap is? Maybe you play games where it is something different, but I am referring to the act of controlling the map in such ways the enemy can't escape their general spawn area without getting killed. Aka: They've already spawned.

Ah, map control is what we call that (different lingo). What I meant by "Spawn trap" is that they die right as they spawn, and have no fighting chance. Maybe they get a moment to see where they are, but before they can make attempt to play they get sniped or something.

You mentioned spawn-killing in the title. Which usually means, killing them right when their bodies pop up from the re-spawn. Which usually does not give them a fighting chance.

Edited by CaptKrunch: 2/10/2014 8:38:33 PMHe's referring to killing players who can't move upon spawn, something I've never heard of in games aside from AFK, which is not what this thread is about. If you spawn, and can control your character, you have a fighting chance. I'll still change the title I guess in case of confusion.
