Just now saw it. It was decent, I guess. Not 100% on Rotten Tomatoes good.
I didn't laugh/smile once throughout the entire thing, and I cringed twice. 7/10 in my book.
I liked how the moral was based on the placebo effect.
I didn't care for all the deus ex shit.
How'd you give it a 7/10 if it failed to evoke any humor? It's not like its plot was anything to write home about. I agree with your spoiler though; that ending was not helpful.

Edited by Verbatim: 2/10/2014 2:47:59 AMBecause it didn't offend or bore me on any level. I was kept entertained, but it takes a lot to get me to smile or laugh.

What kind of movies have you found humorous?

Edited by Verbatim: 2/10/2014 3:05:48 AMNothing really sticks out. I guess I don't watch movies for humor. There's humor in every movie, but nothing in particular... I guess if I had to name a few, they'd be: The Big Lebowski. The Social Network. That's about it. I like sarcasm, I guess. Snarky assholes retorting with cold, calculated responses of the sort you'd never hear anybody say in real life. Stuff that makes you go, "Aw shit, I can't believe he just said that" in that subtle "Wow, that was awesome" kind of way.

Ever seen Seven Psychopaths?

Rotten Tomatoes is a terrible aggregate

I would agree. I usually find myself agreeing more with IMDb.

Use Metacritic.

Gross.
