The Lego movie was the funniest film since Porky's

But seriously, it was just incredibly witty, self-aware, and consistently humorous.
If you haven't seen the movie, don't read this: I thought the introduction of the kid and Will Ferrell was hilarious, but I think it would have been better as a quick gag, rather than the crux of the entire plot. It kinda defeated the wonder of the story.
So yeah, go see this. Go see it with a lady (but not on a first date...never do movies on the first date). Elizabeth Banks even managed to make a Lego character hot.

 • This movie was absolutely terrific. You can tell that it was made by people who truly understood what it was like to play with Legos. The sound effects, the small details and characteristics of pieces, what it was like building with other people, asking for certain bricks... My girlfriend and I absolutely loved it.
