What's your budget?
Do you want your budget to cover the cost of the OS and peripherals too?
Don't buy a pre-built, as it will cost more than it should.

Don't listen to this person, he hasn't even built a PC, so he doesn't know anything OP.

Uh-huh. Says the guy who doesn't even know his own specs. You don't need to have built one to know how to build one, as it's extremely straightforward. Everything is labelled, so all you do is connect the correct wire to the correct socket. You're the one giving him dumb advice by telling him to buy an overpriced pre-built PC, like you did.
-
What's that? You've never done it, yet it is the easiest thing in the world? What are you going to say next? That you could be an Olympic swimmer because Wikipedia says it is easy, yet you haven't done it so everyone who hasn't is an idiot? Hmmm, there are many holes in your logic.
as it's extremely straightforward. Everything is labelled, so all you do is connect the correct wire to the correct socket.
What was that? You didn't read my post? Anyone who isn't a complete troglodyte could build a PC, as everything is labelled. I wouldn't be surprised if you were that kid at school who tried to put the square through the triangle hole.

But yet you still have not built your PC. What's stopping you? Still waiting for all your pieces to come in? Are you overshooting on parts and building something way more powerful than it needs to be and therefore spending more money and getting the same lifespan out of it because computer parts fail for no reason? At the end of the day, my PC buying experience took all of 5 minutes once I decided on one and I have a warranty that covers it from pretty much everything besides me spilling crap on it. Why you feel the need to get in a tizzy over someone spending their own money in a way that satisfies them is beyond me, but it's enough at this point. Enjoy your mute, this is no longer amusing to me. Through your posts, all you have proven is that you are way too interested in my spending habits. It is a bit sad that it has come to this, seeing as most of the time, you are not an idiot. I hope you eventually grow out of this, but until then, know that you are being ignored.

I'm waiting for my OS, as Amazon screwed up my order. And no, my PC will run games that are coming out for the foreseeable future at very high - ultra 1080p up to or over 60FPS without the need to upgrade, unlike yours. Edited by Makai8642: 2/3/2014 3:40:42 AMI Built my own pc and it really isn't difficult at all. and usually buying a pre-built one will cost you more than making it yourself. I thought this was common knowledge.
-
It is, and not it isn't terribly difficult. But what I bought was on sale and only over piecing out that exact build by maybe $100 at most. I see my time to familiarize myself with the process and the peace of mind knowing that I am covered if they screw it up worth $100.
-
Well when sales are definitely a good way to lower the gap in price. And honestly not everyone wants to go through the trouble of putting together a pc. I know me personally the only reason i built mine was because i thought it would be fun. lol
-
As I said in the previous thread I made about my PC, I would have had all the help in the world building one, but I didn't want to spend the time doing it and it didn't sound fun to me. At least you can see the other side of the coin.
building a pre-built one
wat? The whole point of a pre-built is to not have to build it, as the name implies.

Wow i should have proof read that lol. Ill edit it.
