That armour isn't the canon MK4. The canon variant is the version seen in Forward Unto Dawn/ Halo Legends: The Package.
Unless it's a testing variant of the MKV.

It's not canon? There's more than one variant for the MK IV though.

Edited by BaconShelf: 2/2/2014 6:27:25 PMYeah, just had a look again. I was more referring to the main one used.
Frank O'Connor stated in an email that the Cole Protocol and Halo Wars versions of the Mark IV are "both simple correct variations of the same model."

In this version, the armor plating for the body, arms and legs are more akin to the Mark VI, with a bulky, angular chest plate and large, bulbous shoulder pauldrons. The helmet in terms of design is almost exactly like the Mark V's, and both Dr. Halsey's personal journal and the Halo: Reach Armory clarify that they are the same helmets, adapted for use on the later armor model.
We were both right.

Thought as much. IIRC, Jorge's helmet is a retro-fitted MK IV helmet.

Yeah. It said that that was an Up-Armoured variant designed for testing the shielding tech used on the MKV.

Hmm. I last remember reading that they only made the HW version for aesthetics and that the FuD version was the one used by all the Spartans.
