Does anyone watch this show? I was recently persuaded by people at school to watch it and I have gone through the Eccleston doctor's series and I'm now in the Tennant doctor's first season. It's actually a really good show.

Edited by Redmoon1991: 2/4/2014 9:40:39 PMGreat show but I like Tennant way better than Eccleston. Matt Smith isn't quite Tennant but I liked him better than Eccleston. Final rankings Tennant Smith (maybe if he came first in the series is like him better) Eccleston (big gap from him to smith)

My friend says they're doing a little something later tonight in honour of the Eleventh Doctor. I'll keep you posted. In fact, I'll make a thread from this thread. I need to bookmark it.

Just finished Season 5, and I have to say, as a whole, it is my favorite season yet.

Edited by Coin: 2/4/2014 3:49:37 AMPrepare your feels. Eccelston is awesome, although I'd have to say that David Tennant is my favorite Doctor. Matt Smith was pretty awesome as well. Season 5-6 were amazing and season 7 was not so great but tolerable. Can't wait for season 8 with Capaldi, though.

1 ReplyI just have one piece of advice
Don't blink. Don't even blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back, don't look away, and DON'T blink.
6 RepliesEdited by Madman Mordo: 2/3/2014 5:05:42 PMDon't listen to these filthy casuals. RTD is a brilliant writer, and if you enjoy the first few seasons I also recommend Torchwood up until they started collaborating with the Americans. Season 5 is where it gets a bit iffy though, and there's a reason for that. Moffat isn't necessarily a bad writer, he just doesn't get Dr Who. He has a couple of decent episodes here and there, but overall his presence on the show isn't terrific, and I get the feeling he just wants to pander to the kiddies and put style over substance, the complete opposite of RTD's approach. It's a shame since Matt Smith is probably the best NuWho Doctor as of yet. I would've killed to see him in a darker, RTD episode.

You will grow to love all of the characters you're following until Davies mercilessly rips them away from you, one by one. But have fun!

Professor What?

1 ReplyYeah. First 4 series of the reboot are okay, mostly average with some awful episodes and a few 10/10 outstanding ones. Series 5 onwards is consistently brilliant though. Been watching the show since it came back in 2005, can't wait for Capaldi's take.

1 ReplyI don't get the boner everyone has for this show. I tried watching it on a few occasions and felt that I was watching some 80s B-movie at the dollar theater.

I second FAUX's opinion.
