Normally I'd complain about this being another one of those threads, but whenever it's complaining about Waypoint I just kinda laugh a little because it confirms how I feel about the website. When I first signed up I was pretty happy with it but as time went on, particularly after Halo 4's release the site just got worse and worse in terms of community (what little there was at that point) and moderation. One thing that annoys me particularly is once or twice a week I see someone post on Bungie about the Mods on here and the Ninja Justice as it were, suggesting ways to improve it or just bitch it out. You can't do that on Waypoint at all, friendly suggestions are restricted to PM's because it's against 'Da Rulez' and even if you send a mod or admin a PM with suggestions you almost never get a reply back. Hell, most of the time they don't even open the message and on Waypoint you can tell because the little green icon vanishes when they've read it. Other than that, it's literally a toxic website. My younger brother went on there and started making Machinima to post, I told him the site was pretty meh after a while but he just ignored me and carried on. He got a couple of videos featured on the front page but eventually he got so tired with the way things were that he just left and stopped making videos...and this was all within the span of three months for crying out loud. Then whenever there's a thread on the mods from Waypoint put here where (as you can see from the poll) people typically agree with the OP they come over here in droves and act like some kind of higher being. Waypoint is pretty broken, their forums are like the Sahara Desert and the mods? Well, it's been said before. Absolute joke. I'm sure some of them are real nice people too, but for the most part Waypoint has a pretty crappy Mod team.

 • yeah I knew many were dissatisfied with waypoint moderation but dang 100+ votes already in less than a day of the topic being up and 160+ replies. The waypoint mods can blame the victims all they want but I'm not buying it. The evidence against them is quite staggering. if they are unwilling to talk with users about issues on waypoint ON waypoint they have no jurisdiction coming over here playing holier than thou "your fault you didn't follow da rules" blame victim card.

 • To their credit I'm willing to bet that some people they ban are abusing rules and such, saying otherwise is just stupid. But if people can actively prove the Mods are doing no better than the members they ban for the same reasons then that's an issue that needs to be fixed by getting new mods or having them get warnings themselves which eventually removes their powers. It's disgraceful that they can get away with things they've banned others for multiple times for when they themselves often commit the same offense.

 • There was a thread like this a few months ago and the waypoint mods came in arguing with everyone. It was so funny to see them not able to ban people because they gave up responding.

 • Agreed. Well coming from a more less aggressive competitive player we gave suggestions. Not attacking members or anything and we were told the transition was going to be easyfor us halo players. And we were thrown in the snow to die. Ive seen some pretty bad moderation and rude people working in factories and police studies, but these mods are clearly trying to reduce what is left of the halo forum community.

 • Yeah, I remember that "Waypoint mods are here!" thread. I remember one or two mods making actual responses while others were acting like trolls.

 • This stuff only strengthens the part of me that thinks 343i doesn't understand the community. They have had this problem since the beginning of time it seems, and they have neglected it so much that the Halo 4 forum is lucky to get a post every other hour. I used to think that the moderating team's actions were justified, that I must've overstepped the bounds, now I realize how horrible the system is and how incompetent they are.

 • Exactly, I only figured that out about a year ago. I was permabanned unjustly (I know it sounds dumb) and I called BS Angel out on it, I was unbanned and I went on as usual. Can't remember what happened after that but I think I was permabanned again and pardoned. After that I just kinda stopped going there and upon seeing how broken the moderation system was I told one of them to just Permaban me again.

 •
I was permabanned unjustly (I know it sounds dumb) and I called BS Angel out on it, I was unbanned and I went on as usual.
After making this thread and seeing the ban-worthy posts other people made on there, it doesn't sound dumb at all. I only stayed around there because there are only a few logical people left, and it was fun to discuss Halo's gameplay and what certain additions could be made without hurting the game. However, looks like it's about my time to leave that place as so many countless other people have. I can only hope that 343i doesn't suddenly start doing what the forums ask when there are only the people left asking for Halo 5 to be like CoD with shields.
