Better than the Venus one ... that hot little planet appeared to take on a Scottish highland look.
Good use of th soft surface, hopefully this also translates into character movement challenges as well (and not just pretty to look at).

Sinkholes, sand traps, or possibly even quicksand? Slower player movement? Could make for interesting change of play strategy.

Had me hoping water movement slows you down. Just like going up a hill, or going down one could speed you up. Terrain movement speed would be great.

Or better still immuted your powers, or even removed then ... for example water or a sandstorm. Allow for some strategy rather than the halo style of run and shoot. Thats my key worry about bungie using the same engine for the whole 10 years. Its a long time, not like the Halo CE engine could handle that length of time ... plus how can they introduce ideas like these into the game, environmental power modifiers would not be that small a change.

Bungie is definitely taking it's time to get it right and I suspect things like the above will have already been added. Bungie has said several times that this will not be your "run and shoot" kind of game and the skills in Halo you acquired will not serve you near as well in Destiny, it's all about how you build your Character with weapons armour and foci and then how you learn to play to those strengths.. It won't be as simple as hunting someone/thing down and shooting it.
it's all about how you build your Character with weapons armour
Which equates to buying all that DLC. Weapons and armor are picked up during missions, missions hosted on different planets all containing unique items (thousands of weapons). And those planets will be released as DLC - similar to Halo map packs. But if you miss buying a DLC you should also be ready to miss getting the weapons found only on that DLC's planets.

Edited by Dirtydeeedz: 1/26/2014 3:11:57 AMI won't be missing any of this game. If I read correctly they will be releasing a large dlc every year, and a new storyline disk every 2 yrs. But there will be lots of stuff in between so I am ok with that. Can't expect a story that takes 10 yrs to tell not to have a bunch of DLC I only hope they have a season pass like a lot of games.

Full release every second year. Comet release every alternate year (more than a DLC, but less than a full game). DLC's released throughout each year (to which Playstation get them a minimum or 30 days in advance - every one). The 10 years is more an expansion of the universe - game 1 taking place in our own solar system. Not entirely sure how they will make the planets in other systems different enough (other than making up exotic names). Mars looks good (dusty surface, a lot of red) - but Venus is odd, more like a Scottish country side except it is meant to be hot?!?). Season pass - expected but not yet priced.

I will be all over that season pass. I like to pay just one price to get everything, plus I know they usually have a bonus for buying the season pass
