My Original Xbox still functions as it did the day I bought it in 2001.
Yet I've gone through four Xbox 360s, all of which were at my expense.
Judging by my experiences with the 360, it's safe to say that Microsoft cares little about the quality of their products now, so I won't be buying the Xbox One.

Maybe they dont care about quality, but the do care about their customers, from my experiences. Ive gone through something like seven, 360s, and i only paid for the original, and my reach slim. As for the one, the failure rate is incredibly low this time, and from my experience it seems to be the OS that is having hiccups, which is expected to happen on a new system. Im assuming the PS4 is at about the same place. Im very satisfied, even for a day one adopter. Some issues need to be worked out, but when the experience works flawlessly, its truly enjoyable. Hell my parents bought one, and they are 66 and love it.

Edited by WrathOfTheRoyal: 1/17/2014 3:10:29 AMdude my xbox one is a tank, it was much larger than I thought it was and it doesn't make any noise whatsoever. The design isn't built for looks, but function which is definitely appreciated. It's still a launch console though so problems are inevitable but in time the newer units will surely have worked out those problems. Mine hasn't run into any yet.

Yeah but the fan's on the top so you can't put anything on top of it and the dust will go into the fan and cause it to overheat and explode...
-
Why would i put anything on top of it anyway lol
-
Where you gonna put the brick, son? Or the cup of sulphuric acid you just happen to have lying around?
-
The power brick?...under the desk...why would i put that on my console lol and i dont keep cups of anything on the desk xD
-
You don't drink cups of concentrated sulphuric acid around dangerously sparking overpowered electrical equipment whilst balancing a turned-on (giggidy) toaster on your head? My, my, you're lucky... The power brick doesn't go anyway, it's too big and there's no room left over after the console's gone down as one cannot stand it up right so what do?? You can't put the power brick atop the gaming console and entertainment system all-in one machine so what do you do with it? Stick it up your shit-encrusted asshole?
-
proof? Of exploding please But yea, its makes sens not to block the fans. As for being on top, its a good place, it keeps it cool, and its quiet.
-
I know that but you'll get dust in the fans which is not good.
-
The top is the exhaust... I have minimal dust there, and i can just wait to turn on, wipe off and good to go.
-
I don't understand...
-
You need to stop raging. I've had my 360 for 5 years.
-
My first lasted 4 years until it got thrown on the floor and beaten with a bat.

Edited by Mr Mulberry: 1/17/2014 2:34:38 AMMy old Xbox recently crapped out. I got it like, 5 years ago.
-
Which is interesting because I used the original arcade, which I even bought used, until I bought the slim. I gave my old arcade to a friend and it's still kicking.
-
Get a PS4 ;_;
-
I got my Xbox 360 in 2007 and it still works like a charm and I play it constantly. It's sad but gaming is my life so that Xbox has seen a who lot of use.
-
It's sad but gaming is my life .
Chin up son, that is still a better life than the rest of the maggots.
-
ditto, ive gone through at least four 360s.
-
I'm on my second 360, and my Xbox also works the same as it did on launch day, but I ran out of memory blocks, and a new console was cheaper than a memory card. OT: I notice the hate on your comment, and I wondered what was unsound about the logic you employed. Then I realised that FoMan had moved this into #Gaming, and I came to the conclusion that those of lesser intelligence did not read the body of your post.
-
Now you know why moderation on this forum is laughable.
-
Because mods aren't allowed to have opinions?
-
Welll... This just proves that you have to have neither sound logic, nor intelligence to be a Moderator on B.net.
-
I hope you noticed that's really bad logic by now
-
You obviously mistreated it if you went through that many.
