The $499 Steam Machines are actually more powerful than the Xbox One and PS4. It's actually a really good for their price. It's a shame that PC players won't buy them because they already have a PC and console players won't buy them because they prefer Xbox One and PS4. Oh well. They were a bad idea from the start.

Maybe on paper, but optimization for the consoles give them a huge edge. It is the reason the steam machine should have only had a few models.
Maybe on paper
Optimisation isn't the same thing as having more power.

Wait. Who are you saying has the edge?

Edited by JLx24: 1/9/2014 1:41:53 AMI can't say until we see some direct comparisons of multiple games. By "edge" I meant that it can make up for the lesser "power."

Edited by TigerTitan: 1/9/2014 1:50:00 AMThe user just needs to have an AMD CPU to adjust their PC or Steam Machine to the optimization for consoles because both Xbox One and PS4 have AMD APUs. It's true though. We'll just have to wait until we actually see some gameplay.
