Having only one steam machine at $500 seemed fine to me, but adding 12 more with half of them over $1,000? If you're going to spend that much, you're better off just building your own PC.

8 RepliesThe $499 Steam Machines are actually more powerful than the Xbox One and PS4. It's actually a really good for their price. It's a shame that PC players won't buy them because they already have a PC and console players won't buy them because they prefer Xbox One and PS4. Oh well. They were a bad idea from the start.

Since there doesn't seem like a market for these things the price sure doesn't help. Every price that's not a 3 digit number you can build one hell of a gaming PC for what they're asking.
