For MacGraw, I think the biggest inspiration was Client Eastwood's character in the Man With No Name trilogy(Fistful of Dollars, For A Few More Dollars, The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly) since no one knows his real name.
Also, the publishing company McGraw Hill had something to do with it.
Why Chloe?

I choose Chloe because it reminds me of a name of innocence. She may be very skilled, but she still has a lot to learn and MacGraw is just one of those people who will teach. Also, it reminds me of a 4 leaf clover, which means that she actually is a lucky person in many different ways. Some of that luck will be seen in some chapters.
Plus, I like the Chloe and I choose it at random from a large website of names.
Ah sounds like a strong character build based on the name Chloe. You thought that one out well. She reminds me a bit of Selana in my story, but that might be a bit soon to say that. You're just getting started on yours. We have yet to see how these characters will develop in your story.

People like the Clint Eastwood character and I read your story just a little while back. I like how MacGraw has an old western style to him in a futuristic world. I think that could make the world of Destiny a little like a wild frontier sort of setting in your story. Don't abandon that character. What does MacGraw Hill publish?
-
McGraw-Hill publishes books that span from Education to Business and Economics. I usually see their logo on some of my textbooks for school. They also work with Macmillan Publishers, who do the same. If you put 2 and 2 together, then you get MacGraw.

Oh yeah I remember now. I knew they sounded familiar but I couldn't remember for sure. It's been a few years since I've used any of those textbooks. Can I guess that MacGraw is an educated man?

In some ways yes and in others no. He's the silent type who can offer up good advice, but he usually is drunk or in a bad mood. There are those rare times where he can be very brutal and demanding.

Perhaps his name can act as a form of irony. Either way I'm liking the old west style you're putting into the story. Even the way you described the bar in chapter 1 or your prologue was really cool. Can't remember what you labeled it as.
