Shoot, that's some smart thinking.
-
Originally Nora was the name of Aaron's ghost, but when I finished writing Final Encounter I thought the name fit her better.
-
Ah, okay. You've already written some of Aaron's story?
-
Edited by Zevenwulf: 1/8/2014 4:59:13 AMYou read what I wrote for him. Most of it had been written when I started with Nora.
-
Okay, I'll have to go back and read it again.
-
Ah that's something I never noticed. Is that your name then? And picking Nora would then be connected to you?
-
No, Aaron's the name of the Exo Titan I had planned out.
-
Oh ok I see now. What was your reason for picking Aaron in the first place, and why didn't Aaron make the cut if you don't mind my asking?
-
Not sure, it just sounded like a good name (later I came across a site that said the name meant "mountain of strength"). He did, just not in such length.
-
Sounds like a good name to me as well. Does Nora personify your original plan for Aaron?
-
Hmm, I don't think so. Aaron was meant as more of a silent knight who would do anything for a friend while Nora... is more of a soldier who regrets her slip ups.
-
Interesting contrast. Ever consider what kind of story there's would be when working together? So how has Aaron made a place for himself in your story?
-
Every once in a while but not beyond that. Not entirely sure, I haven't returned to that story lately.
-
I understand. Personally there were ideas I scrapped because I was unsure as to how it would affect my story in the long run. But at times I do consider what my story would be like if I had included those ideas. It's possible I may throw some references to those ideas in small portions here and there in my story. What inspired Nora's character/personality?
-
A combination of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde along with werewolves mostly.
-
I think you summed that up pretty well haha. She does have that kind of character. How satisfied are you with the development and implementation of Nora's character in your story?
-
Pretty satisfied.
-
Good to hear. Confidence in the cast of characters will help bring confidence to a story. How about some of your other characters like Dread, Roberts, Rexford, and ah, your villainous merc (I'm drawing a blank right now, sorry)?
-
Well Dread's easy, he's meant to be the embodiment of the Exos: a nigh unstoppable war machine and a link to the past. Roberts's role is more of a mentor and friend. On Rexford I'm drawing my own blank sadly. The one you mean (I think) is Theodore, a man who hates what humanity has become (doubly so for the Exos) and is more than happy to sell them out.
-
I like Dread and Roberts a lot myself. Awesome personalities. I like Rexford too. He serves as a good comic relief amidst the severity of your story. I had forgotten to include Theodore, but I was thinking of that rebel leader who was a stubborn casualty of war haha.
-
Oh you meant Raines (flashback foe) he's more Nora's biggest ghost simply because of what he (and his son) coerced her do to.
-
Yeah Raines. I remembered the character but not the name. I think he served as a very well made villain, deceitful and influential. Dangerous qualities.
-
Thanks.
-
You're welcome. Keep up the good work.
-
I will.
