1 ReplyWrite down your Xbox's IP and MAC addresses and email someone at your college's IT department. Chances are that each device you have needs to be entered into their systems for access to their networks.

2 RepliesYou most likely have to register the MAC address of your console with the University. When you were setting up your computer, what information did you have to enter (after you put in your student ID and password).

You can trick the dorm connection by taking the IP address and MAC address manually to the Xbox (along with an open DNS), but that's a temporary fix. You're better off buying a [url=http://www.monoprice.com/Product?seq=1&format=2&p_id=8070&CAWELAID=1329456147&catargetid=320013720000010624&cadevice=c&cagpspn=pla&gclid=CLOCpP286rsCFUtp7AodLkEAVA]router[/url] (like the one linked) to get connected. Plus, then you can connect more devices (just turn the wireless off if your dorm has policies against wireless). Edit: The above is written under the assumption you can connect via Ethernet.
