I'm a straight, white, Christian female, and I don't care if someone is homosexual. Only God has the right to judge. Jesus did not condone prejudice, he preached of compassion and understanding. Homosexuality is a sin, yes, but if you are against them, you are just being a hypocrite. For everyone is a sinner and falls short of the glory of God. Oh, and take a psychology class. People cannot just "choose" to like a certain sex. That's bullshit.

Then you are not a christian.

He grasps Christian ideals even better than you do. But you're trolling, so it doesn't even matter.
-
If you determine whether someone someone is Christian by that, then you do not understand what being a Christian really is.
People cannot just "choose" to like a certain sex. That's bullshit.
If you were a christian you would know that Sin is always a choice.

Resisting sin is a choice, yes. Someone can choose to resist acting on their homosexuality, but they cannot stop the attraction they feel toward that sex. A gay man cannot suddenly decide he's attracted to women. If he was actually gay, then the thought of being with women would repulse him.

Sorry I disagree. I see what the bible says and it is simple. Acting out in homosexuality is giving into the lust of the flesh ( Joy of carnality) and that is something everyone can say no to. It is the same as being a swinger or committing adultery. All sexual sin comes from one area, lust for the pleasure of the flesh. It is the feeling that you are seeking that causes you to act out in that sin.

Dude, I never said homosexuality isn't a sin. All I'm saying is that people cannot control who they feel attracted to, and that we shouldn't treat them less than any other human being because of it.

Edited by angry0lbgrampa: 12/31/2013 11:41:11 PM* double post edit* You see we are called to point out sin. Pointing out sin is not judging, telling a person theya re evil and going to hell for doing whatever they are doing is judging. That is the problem with Christians today, most have been feared into believing the bible the way the world wishes us to. Jesus died on the cross for all our salvation no matter the sin. However, we are his hands, feet, and some times his mouth. We have to be able to stand up and speak what is right, and what is wrong, if we do not, then we are no better than the world.
