I looked up the specs and that thing is OLD. What does your family use it for?

Home stuff. Web/video browsing, research, email, social media etc. I would buff it up a bit for possible gaming usage. Was thinking of http://shopping.hp.com/en_US/home-office/-/products/Desktops/HP-Pavilion/E6S58AV?HP-Pavilion-500-200t-Desktop-PC]this for them.

So you're not willing to build your own?

I think it would be too much work. I always can but I'm really just looking something like this for my parents to make them happy. I know there's certainly ways when building your own to come out with customized specs with more bang for your buck.

Edited by Ad Hoc: 12/31/2013 3:02:18 AMAlright, well I wouldn't bother upgrading the Dimension. For $400 to $700 you can buy an entirely new computer that will run better and last a lot longer. The PC you posted will be perfectly fine for your family, but not very good for gaming. You can always replace the GPU at another point if you want. This is better for gaming
