Opinion of the series? Currently rewatching it, so I thought I would make this thread.
I love it. Even with Endless Eight (skipped most of it this time, only watched the first, second, and last) it is really good. I know many consider Haruhi a bitch/spoiled brat, and she definitely can be at times (the movie arc in particular) but she is certainly charming despite it.
Would love for it to be continued some day, though the chances of that happening don't look very high. The spinoff anime might be nice (assuming it doesn't turn out to be a shitty web series, like the lucky star spinoff), but I really hope they continue the main series some day.

I love it too, Kyon narration and Haruhi enthusiasm are perfect. The first season ending (broadcast order) is the best ending ever in my opinion, it offered a closure to the anime, but at the same time didn't feel like an ending, neither like a cliffhanger; since the second season happens inside the first one, it didn't even ruin the feel.

I haven't gotten around to watching it yet. It's high up on my too watch list though, because it's a Kyoto Animation anime.

Bullshit. that's where we differ

Haven't watched it, haven't planned on watching it.

I don't watch girly school animes.

Edited by Braydzz: 12/29/2013 4:15:35 PMI am also going to rewatch it chronologically (eps. 2, 3, 5, 10, 13, 14, 4, 7, 6, 8, 1, 12, 11, 9) and see how different it is Also I suggest watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Chan too, for some reason I put off watching it for a long time and it was actually really funny.

Edited by mastesargent: 12/29/2013 8:02:18 AMWell, you see, I'm actually a Haruhiist. No, really, I am. But honestly, it's probably my favorite series. Oh, sure, I've come across much better series since (barring the movie. I've yet to see any anime film even match it), but as far as personal favorites go, Haruhi is my favorite. Also, granted that you've read the original light novels all the way through, and seen Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni (and Higurashi Kai, Rei, and Kira), Kyon: Big Damn Hero is a pretty good read. Definitely the best fanfic you'll read. Ever.
Also, if you ever wanna talk Haruhi, or anime in general, I'm your man.
I liked it a lot, but I lost track after the endless eight episodes on where to continue, I got to the cultural festival, then couldn't figure out which episodes I was supposed to watch next. My lord Haruhi graces me with her presence when she can.

I enjoyed it, it was very good/funny. Quite strange in places but overall it was a great show. Although <.< I actually enjoyed Lucky Star more than Haruhi >.>
-
I enjoyed the 2-3 episodes we watched in Geography class.
-
The film, The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, was definitely the highlight of the series for me.
-
What was the -blam!-ing point of it? Nothing -blam!-ing happens in it!

Probably the best anime ever made. Endless eight kind of ruin it for some people though.
