if you buy a bungie game to play multiplayer only, you're denying yourself the best part of the game. the only thing you have to do to play multiplayer in this game is create a character, and advance far enough in the free-roam world to gain allegiance with a faction. something tells me they won't make this difficult, but if you restrict yourself to multiplayer after that you'll be missing out on better weapons and gear. remember, people compare it to an mmo for a reason, and in most mmo's you can't access multiplayer until a certain level.

I may not agree with j's tone, but i do see where he us coming from at a point. I loved halos campaign, but what really kept me coming back was the multiplayer, and i do feel like it's kinda of odd that they are in a sense "forcing" you to spend your time where you may not necessarily want to, and i think it may in turn push a lot of multiplayer buffs away. I understand that bungie wants you to experience the bigger picture but i think you should leave that up to the player. I have yet to play a single mission in COD but i do enjoy the multiplayer. And id hate to be forced into it because it does not appeal to me. But we'll see.

Again, this is not a conventional shooter. Bungie may work for Activision but they are not making another COD, they are making their own game, and games similar to this one also place restrictions on how early you can play multiplayer, and the low level multiplayer experience by their very nature.

Trust me i know this isn't trying to be a "cod clone" and I'm very glad of that, but it is a Bungie game, and the very recent Bungie games have been very multiplayer oriented. And done of their fans might be in it for solely that aspect.

Nothing about this game says it isn't multiplayer oriented. In fact, everything about this game speaks to the fact that its possibly more multiplayer oriented than any other game they've made. Its just a different direction in game design as a whole for Bungie. Games like this one, WoW for instance, restrict access to multiplayer because accessing multiplayer with a level 0 character will only result in your death. Especially sine you only really get weapons and gear from PvE
