What we need is Archived posts again. If a public thread (Not Private) isn't commented in for a period of time (A good number of months) it is locked and placed in a view only mode. It could help keep all the threads from being bumped from half a year earlier.

Pretty sure something like that has already been said before and they just don't give a shit.
-
They do care. I've talked with Achronos about some of things that are planned. Just keep in mind that they are currently preparing for the launch of Destiny. With supposed B.net integration, they probably have a huge work load. It'll get done eventually.
-
Did you bring up that GameFAQs has a system like that in place? Because I'm pretty sure I have before and he didn't seem to even acknowledge it.
-
Nightmare.... You're too new to this website. You've never even been on the old one let alone scratch it's surface. The old Bungie.net actually had something much better than GameFAQs and whatever this new website can provide as a replacement for it.
-
Because I wasn't able to look through archived versions of the site before this or anything. I've seen it's posting format, and the site format, it was nothing too impressive.
-
-_- This is why I hate new people. You'll never understand what the old website had. You hear me? NEVER!
-
You hate me so easily? I suppose a certain someone was right after all about your ability to fly off the hinge and get yourself into issues so easily.
-
Let me rephrase that. I don't like most newcomers with the mentality that they bring. Better?
-
That's better.
-
How would this help? It's not going to stop someone bumping.
-
Think about it. If a thread isn't posted in a month, it's gets archived and set to read only.
-
Again, that's not going to stop someone bumping.
-
It won't stop someone from bumping, but it will stop someone from bumping a thread that's a month old or older. The only way to stop true bumping is what has worked in the past. Locking the thread.
-
The only way to stop true bumping is what has worked in the past. Locking the thread.
That doesn't stop other threads from being bumped. If someone's determined enough to spam the forum by bumping, locking/auto-archiving topics is not going to stop them.
-
If you have a better idea on how to stop bumping, I'd love to hear it. Let me guess. Banning. Am I right? :P
-
It will limit them to bumping somewhat recent stuff. It's not a complete solution, but it would help with it. It's a lot less annoying to see a thread from two months ago versus a thread from ten or twelve months ago.

Edited by Decimator Omega: 12/3/2013 6:17:53 AMI like the sound of that.

I also like the sound, but this is not the place to discuss... that.

Typo. My bad.
