It is to this day the worst thing- I hesitate to call it a book- ever written. It is disgusting and unholy, and I regret ever having even heard the title.

It is something used for the purposes of teaching literary analysis, which even then is stretched to its boundaries when confronted with some of the things those in the English departments wish you to interpret. I'm at a loss for words, as nothing in this language seems able to adequately express my discontent.

You don't really have a reason for not liking it other than you don't and that's perfectly fine. I just think it paints a really beautiful picture of the 20's and it is a really good tool for teaching literary analysis.
