If you wanna do simple stuff then just buy a remade laptop or something. This tread is pointless.

building a cheap pc is good experience for if you ever want to build an expensive gaming pc. gives you more confidence in not screwing things up. plus it's fun, kind of satisfying to build a pc and see it work.
-
That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm a couple years away from replacing my main PC and I want to do a custom build so I thought I would practice building a low end entertainment model
-
To each his own I guess, I would personally buy a pre-made for stuff like that but if you have the time why not.
-
But I want to build something.
-
Build it. Don't listen to this guy! Go on a site called newegg, if you want to game and watch movies... 700-800 dollars. If you just want a pc, DO NOT GO TO CYBORBORGPC! Waaaaayyy too much money for not that good of performance.
-
Thanks, I think newegg looks like the way to go.
-
Its waste. Unless you intend on hiving your PC play games or something demanding, building a PC is kind of a waste. If you want, just go on CyberPower PC.com and choose the lowest-end parts.
-
What is "hiving" a PC?
-
Connecting many PC together to perform as one high end PC.

Nice try

What do you mean by
Nice try
?
-
It means I don't know what you're talking about and neither does Google.
