Halo CE, ODST and 4.
CE for the campaign gameplay, ODST for the stellar atmosphere, tone and art direction, and Halo 4 for the sublime story and character development.
CE Anniversary. It has everything. Iconic Campaign, fun playlist (love the 3SK pistol), beautiful maps, customs, and Firefight. Total package right here.
Overall? Reach. By far.
The online is fun for me. You can go competitive or casual. Customs are a blast thanks to the amazing Forge, Forge World, and Custom Game options. Theater works perfectly, and the Campaign has a story I really enjoy playing through. (I'm a sucker for a gritty sad military story.) Firefight is always fun, especially when you take full advantage of the customization in the options.
The sound design and music is great, and the visuals are stunning. (Look at a sky in campaign. WOW) The art design is also superb. Their's a great variety of unique and colorful weapons and vehicles that are fun to use. It's got a great UI, and everything just works for me. It's put together extremely well. It's a very solid game overall.
A tie between Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 4 and Halo Wars.
Followed very closely by Halo 2 and ODST (Price aside) (Haven't played Spartan Assault, yet)
Then Halo 3 was good
Reach was an abomination.
