Iron Man would detect the power source on his armor, there would be a stand off, and a fight. Pepper would then mourn over Tony's death. Lol. I can just imagine Iron Man flying at chief and as he comes at him, BAM! Chief face punches that over glorified toaster out of the air and straight down into the ground. He'd be all like. "I said stand down." But Tony would be dead. Broken neck and shattered skull.

  • Before I even scrolled down I knew this would have a lot of replies. Comic book fanboys can't help themselves.

  • Apparently they are supporting the movies with evidence from the comics. The movies basically shat on the comics, so why are they using them as evidence now?

Iron Man's suit can tank a direct nuclear blast. If John tried punching him, he'd probably liquefy his whole arm.

  • 1. Prove it. 2. Lolno. Ceramic bone implants make that almost impossible.

  • Well then Marvel lore is ridiculous.

  • It's less ridiculous than super hero lore. Apparently Batman can lift more than spartans in full armor because he keeps himself in "peak" human condition. Halo lore is nowhere near as ridiculous as comic lore. Halo is has typical sci-fi elements in it. It's nothing special.

  •
Apparently Batman can lift more than spartans in full armor
No he can't.
Halo lore is nowhere near as ridiculous as comic lore.
Comic lore is sort of supposed to be ridiculous. That's the whole point.
Halo is has typical sci-fi elements in it. It's nothing special.
That's true, it really isn't.

  • Small plasma rounds can eat through John's suit like nothing in First Strike. That same suit can fall two kilometers and take it in Halo 3. lolwut

  •
Small plasma rounds can eat through John's suit like nothing in First Strike.
Not really.
That same suit can fall two kilometers and take it in Halo 3.
At least that shit is possible. Unlike immortality or regenerating all your health just because. Lol there are so many more examples.

  •
Not really.
Yes really. He had to hide from a few unggoy because his shield was down.
At least that shit is possible.
You're missing the point entirely. Also, prove it.
Unlike immortality or regenerating all your health just because.
There's always a given reason, but again, missing the point.

  •
Yes really. He had to hide from a few unggoy because his shield was down.
And what were those unggoy armed with? Plus they almost always carry a few set of plasma grenades which are stronger than Fuel Rods. We've talked about this already, Sam (i think it was) was shot so many time while covering John, his reflective coating was turned black but not yet worn out, until that one plasma bolt hit him in the shoulder.
Also, prove it.
Some satellites have ceramic coatings I think. And they make it back to earth through the atmosphere. Of course Halo's lore is ridiculous. All life killing rings that don't destroy themselves, slipspace, aliens, etc. Marvel is just more ridiculous compared to Halo.

  •
And what were those unggoy armed with?
Plasma pistols.
Plus they almost always carry a few set of plasma grenades which are stronger than Fuel Rods.
They didn't throw grenades at him, IIRC.
We've talked about this already, Sam (i think it was) was shot so many time while covering John, his reflective coating was turned black but not yet worn out, until that one plasma bolt hit him in the shoulder.
And you couldn't tell me exactly how many rounds that coating can take. Also, that's still a long ways away from falling two kilometers.
Some satellites have ceramic coatings I think. And they make it back to earth through the atmosphere.
You think? Or aren't you certain? John didn't fall from the atmosphere, but if his armor hit terminal velocity, the sheer heat would cook him regardless. And the impact should have shattered the armor entirely.

  •
Plasma pistols
Show me.
They didn't throw grenades at him IIRC.
They didnt because they were killed, I'm certain they didnt know he was there either. I couldn't tell you but I could quote the scene if you really want me to prove it to you. Certain, although it isn't as strong or efficient as the ones in Halo. It's only for helping it to survive the conditions in space.
John didnt fall from the atmosphere.
He did while on Requiem, infact he was being pulled in by the gravity well not just falling. Something strong enough to pull in cruisers.

  •
Show me.
I couldn't find the scene with the unggoy, but on page 74 a sangheili cuts through his armor with an energy sword, without any mention of it resisting the plasma.
Certain, although it isn't as strong or efficient as the ones in Halo. It's only for helping it to survive the conditions in space.
They don't. Which makes sense, as it's better to break them into smaller chunks so they don't cause serious damage to a location. As for surviving in space, they could do that without some kind of magic ceramic. No threat of decompression or suffocation or your organs being pulled out as all the gas leaves your body or anything like that. I'd imagine they're armored to survive impacts from asteroids or the like, but not the fall from space.
He did while on Requiem, infact he was being pulled in by the gravity well not just falling. Something strong enough to pull in cruisers.
And he had a number of things to hold on to as he fell. He still shouldn't have been able to survive it.

I'm still up to showing you the page, plus John has taken several hits from plasma and you've seen the scars on his armor. It's probably gone by now. They do, if I knew how to copy links on iOS I would show you. Besides, like I said, its a coating specifically designed to survive the conditions of space, nothing more.
And he had a number of things to hold on to as he fell. He still shouldn't have been able to survive it.
But he didnt, he took the direct hit and got up a few seconds later. Halo 4's time is +500 years in the future, what were you expecting? If we had such supplies now we would be doing the same thing, or maybe not but we would be capable of it.
They do, if I knew how to copy links on iOS I would show you. Besides, like I said, its a coating specifically designed to survive the conditions of space, nothing more.
Then why are you comparing it to a suit that can apparently survive a two-kilometer fall?
But he didnt, he took the direct hit and got up a few seconds later.
lolno. He was knocked the f*ck out, probably for a few hours. That smaller fall in Halo 3 nearly killed him, and you think he just got back up after this one?
Halo 4's time is +500 years in the future, what were you expecting?
I was expecting ground weaponry and vehicle that don't suck ass.
If we had such supplies now we would be doing the same thing, or maybe not but we would be capable of it.
If we had such supplies now we'd have already made something better and more efficient. And if we had suits that could fall two kilometers and take it, they'd sure as hell be more resistant to ionized gas.

  • Two Words: Armor Lock(lololol). And yes, Chief is strong enough to kill someone with on punch to the head. Even if the said person has a thin layer of metal in between Chief's fist and their face.

  • What? His armor is way tougher than it should be. He is able to take a direct hit from an M1 Abrams, fall from hundreds of feet, and get back up like it was nothing. Even if the metal kept kept it out, the shock of the impact would kill him.
