The one with the .50 cal was cool, it was at least a vaguely worthwhile destruction of a machine (Omnissiah forgive meh) but this is just pathetic. What a waste of money, if they wanted to blow 400$ why didn't they give it to a homeless guy? or a charity? But NEEOOOPE gotta smash it up.
This sort of disgusting wasteful behaviour is why the world's resources are running out. There was a calculation/study done, cited in my degree book to show how many earths (Plural) worth of resources each lifestyle would claim if the whole world lived like that.
Africa was 0.7, UK was 2.5, Western Europe was 2.1 and America was 5.2.
5 planets worth of resources for everyone to live like an American. It says a lot.

Why the -blam!- would they give a playstation 4 to a homeless person? What good would come from that?
-
They would give him the money not the -blam!-ing console.

All he did was pass the money onto somebody else, why don't you go tell the Sony employee that receives that $400 to donate it? Or the cashier that receives a bit of that money once that sony employee buys a damn coffee to donate it? Or the gas station employee that receives a little bit of that gas money from the cashier to donate it? It was HIS MONEY, it was not a waste. That money goes back into the economy, it is not burned. Stop being so ignorant.

I could care less about the money, what's more irritating is the attitude that people in the USA seem to have (And other places too, including the UK to an extent) of just dismissing the value of things and happily trashing stuff for entertainment and then defending people who do it on the grounds it's their money their choice. Yes it is their choice, and it is a stupid waste of materials for the sake of a few minutes of pewps and giggles. The paper he handed over is worthless in real terms since paper grows on trees but the materials that will have gone into the electronics in that machine will now be rotting in a landfill unless someone is hell bent on extracting it from the broken mess. They are irreplaceable on earth, if they get used up there will be no more electronics same as the Oil that you are all so fond of burning freely in SUVs. When there is no more left you will all be -blam!-ing whining about how your phones haven't got a new model anymore or the price is sky high because there is no more -blam!-ing left. God you kind of people piss me off. Happy to just blow whatever you like out your ass and damn the consequences for anyone else, without a thought for the future and who cares it's Muh Freedom to be a -blam!-ing retard. I'm done with this. -blam!- off.

That isn't wasting if he spent the money to get it. Learn basic economics "Mr Psychologist".
-
So smashing up an expensive console full of various lanthanides is not a waste? It's not basic economics to know that throwing stuff like that away after smashing it into tiny pieces is wasteful.
-
Oh man all the lanthanides! The reality is that millions of PS4s will be thrown away eventually over time so don't even try to use that as a valid point. What is more wasteful? Immediately throwing away the PS4 you just spent money on (money that will circulate back into the economy I might add), or a PS4 that is arguably being more wasteful in use? I don't think you have the capacity to understand that this is not a waste. It might be a waste of HIS money, but that's HIS money. The money is not being burned, it's going to Sony, it's going back into the economy, it will be used by somebody some other time. You're wrong, edit your post because you are totally and completely wrong. How do you know the money you possess right now was not once used in a wasteful manner such as this? It's because it doesn't matter! It goes back into the economy, and will be used over and over again in different ways until the end of time deal with it my friend just deal with it.

The money does go back into the economy. The worthless shitty paper goes around and around until some banker burns it or it gets torn from some lawyer snorting crack through it. What doesn't get replaced is the stuff that went into that machine. Money, Money, Money. It's all you people think about.

Edited by halo: 11/15/2013 11:01:09 PM
Money, Money, Money. It's all you people think about.
Oh grow up. The reality is, once you buy that PS4 you can consider it thrown away already. Because that's what everybody is going to do with them anyway. Don't be so naive. You might as well be saying they shouldn't make PS4's altogether.
~ Snip ~
^ Butt-devastated fanboy. His Jesustation 4 got beat up, and now his asshole is crying.

K I would have said the same thing if someone did that to an Xbox You know. And no doubt some retard will smash up one of them on launch day and I'll likely copy/paste ^
