Perhaps. I think a spiritual successor would work just as well, given the amount of backstory revealed in the game.
In the game's storyline, after the Resistence leave with the aircraft and contact people on the mainland, the threat of the Ark's location being revealed is a very real threat. A sequel based off of this could feature a refugee militia versus Ark security forces.
That'll be good too. And if they actually do something like that, lets just hope they don't do a repetitive storyline again.

Edited by UphillMercury: 11/12/2013 4:54:06 PMWhile I liked how they tried to tell a story from both sides, a change of colour scheme and resdesignation of different objectives wasn't the best way to go about doing it. I think intertwining, yet distinct storylines for each faction would be much more effective.

Probably depending on which fraction you play as first I think a way you could affect the other storyline from a critical decision you have to decide that causes that affect on either you or the other fraction so for example if you play as the security first and lets say you have to make the decision that affects you in a sort of way per say
