Is the Nvidia GTX 660 good for gaming right now?

Getting this laptop this week as its on sale with a 200 dollar price reduction. Now seems like the time. I'll be PC gaming fairly often. My one concern with this laptop is the GPU. Can this 660 generally handle games well enough for now and for the foreseeable future?

Depends on what settings/resolution/framerate you are looking for. Currently, a R9 270x and/or a 660 desktop should be able to run BF3 at 1080p with only a few settings adjustments off Ultra. Any less and future games may start to be out of reach for max settings at 1080p. Anymore is moving into the overkill range, IMO. If you are looking for a gaming PC, then build it. Laptops generally aren't that great for gaming in comparison to desktops. Edit: NVM, someone necroed this thread.
