I'm just curious. Tell us which title was your first taste of Bungie action and adventure. This is a census, as well as a chance to walk down memory lane.
And, sorry to those of you that want to vote specifically for Myth, Marathon, or ONI. The polls on Bungie.net don't support that level of detail.

All I can say is we all know somebody older so that makes you younger then somebody out there.

I voted HCE because it was the first one I played, in reality it was my sister's game. It came with her xbox. The first Bungie game I owned was H2.

I actually got into Halo at school my freshman year. At lunch my school had an open area, near the cafe. It had 25+ laptops. Well someone brought the Halo CE trail version on a flash drive to school and soon everyone had it on a flash drive in there pocket. We would all play on muiltplayer, all lunch period and at the end shutdown the computers and it would erase the game so no one knows anything about it happening. That my friends is how I got into Halo CE and slowly the wheels turned till, Destiny today. Class 2012, Long Live Bungie

Unfortunately, Destiny will be my first Bungie game. Would've loved to have played Halo but I've always been a PS user.
-
Pre-Halo (Oni) My brother had it back then. I loved that game. It just took forever getting use to not using a controller. I was on consoles and handhelds.

Edited by Thunda_Punk: 7/30/2014 9:13:10 PMHalo 3. It was by far the best cooperative FPS experience that I had in a video game in a while.

Edited by rheynger: 7/30/2014 9:11:46 PMHalo. Halo Halo:ODST Are my favorite bungie games.

Halo Combat Evolved. As a PS2 and GameCube owner I never saw the point in owning an XBox. Then the 360 came out and couldn't resist getting it. I didn't particularly like fps's but I was curious about the hype so I bought a used ( yes I know, sorry Bungie ) copy for of Halo CE for €3.99 just to see what all the XBox fanboys were going on about and to my immense surprise I loved it. Been buying Bungie games ( brand new ) ever since.

I (tried) to play Pathways into darkness when I was VERY young, several years after the game came out, but I didn't really "game" until I got Reach.
-
I remember playing myth as a kid on our gateway desktop computer in the 90s. They've come a long way, but it wasn't until I was an adult that I drew the connection between them.
-
Halo CE. My younger brother and his friend were stuck on "Assault on the control room" and asked for my help. That was the beginning of a glorious addiction.
-
Halo: Combat Evolved (PC), but that's what I owned. I Played a buddies Halo 1 on his Xbox every weekend I visited :)
-
Well let's see. I lost my innocence to halo so yep halo! I still have my original Xbox to.
-
I bought Halo 3 with my 360, loved it then bought Halo Reach ( my personal favourite). When it came out I bought Halo: Combat Evolved HD.
-
First owned Bungie-game was Marathon 1 (also own Marathon 2 and Marathon Infinity, still have all 3 in my gaming shelf!). First played Bungie-game was Pathways Into Darkness though :)

1 ReplyMarathon was the first game from Bungie :)

ONI I remember that my father had bought it for the PS2 and I thought it looked interesting. Couldn't put it down. At the time, I hadn't realized that the same guys behind ONI were behind Halo, but we got an xbox and Halo:CE within a week of release.... and the rest is history. 14 physical years later and probably around 7-8 months of combined playtime, I can't get enough Bungie!

2 RepliesBecause apparently Myth, Marathon, or ONI was too mainstream... Halo: CE on the original xbox console. Man... I still remember how big and ugly those controller were!
