Gender and sex are synonyms. Gender isn't subjective. You're either male or female. The part about gender roles, though, makes sense.

About the gender thing, let me quote oldfag sparkles.
Gender is quite literally an embodiment of someone's personality, and, as such, is entirely personal and immeasurable.
If I dress and act like a "girl", I'm still a "boy"...
-
That's because society has assigned you the gender "boy" because of your sex.

No. It's because biologically, my gender is male. My sex is male (reundant). I have a dick, this makes me a guy. My girlfriend has a vagina which makes her a girl hence the reason she's my girlfriend.

You're confusing sex and gender.

So according to you "gender" is a societal label placed on someone's identity and a persons "sex" is their biological identity (ingrained in their genetic makeup). Getting rid of "gender" is then pointless as you can't get rid of how someone thinks of themselves as it is completely subjective and not fact. Getting rid of "sex" on the other hand would be scientific censorship as Sex will remain the same regardless of any medical procedure as it is ingrained in the persons DNA.

"Getting rid of "gender" is then pointless as you can't get rid of how someone thinks of themselves as it is completely subjective and not fact." You're right I can't remove what people think of themselves, but what I can aim to get rid of is what general society sees as what a "male" and "female" should be and remove all of these roles and ideas set to them.

You're arguing gender roles not the idea of gender. I'm all for getting rid of gender roles but you just cannot get rid of genders.
