I love how the Government's solution is always to kick the can down the road. Sometimes I wonder if they even know what's gotten them into these messes in the first place.
You can't really expect them to make progress on making intelligent cuts to the base of their expenditure when they can't even elect people who can agree on the basic premise underpinning a central banking system.
I'm not defending how they did it, but they did stand up for their parties and the Republican's of the countries' beliefs. There's credit to a party who does that over a party who bends over even when their key beliefs are being destroyed. Though that doesn't mean I'll agree with them when they do fight back.
You don't get points for doing something that would otherwise be considered admirable in such a way that you cancel out all merit in the act. If I wanted to raise funds for cancer research, going on a bank robbing spree and killing people in the process wouldn't be an acceptable method for me to reach my goal.
Intentions matter, but so do methods. And sometimes, methods matter more. What your're saying is basically the argumentative equivalent of saying "Well sure they killed the patient, but at least that pesky disease died with him!"
