You ever read the irredeemable comics?. It's like what would happen if superman went bad. The plutonian is pretty crazy. Killing other super heroes in front of their families and stuff. Pretty dope series

That was a great thread.

Edited by kgj: 10/13/2013 4:12:58 AMThanks! Superman is a great character. But, of course, you get the "well he's boring because he's invincible" kinda thing. As I say to Macharius within that thread: It's incredibly ironic. Clark Kent is somehow a disguise for Kal El in the comics. It's so far fetched, that nobody believes it to be true. But then, in real life, Kal El is somehow a disguise for Clark Kent. Nobody remembers that when Superman puts on his glasses, we run all over him.

The writers of the most current Superman publication prefer to think of Clark as the disguise, I think it depends on his age. When he's younger, Kal is the alter ego, but as he ages, Clark fades away.

Edited by kgj: 10/13/2013 4:13:25 AMNot what I meant by irony. Clark is absolutely the disguise in the comics. My point is that people in real life are blind to Superman's identity as Clark Kent because all they see is Kal El flying and punching buildings. But what you say about his alterations with age is very interesting indeed.
