So let's look at the stats:
Short Range: Both are skilled hand to hand combatants, with cap having a slight advantage in hand to hand: point Cap
Physical Capabilities: Both have been genetically altered, Cap more than Chief, but Master Chief has had extensive training since birth: Even
Long Range: Cap shield may be indestructible, but if throwing a shield was better than guns, everyone would do it: Point Chief
Defense: Cap: Indestructible Shield, and Light Body Armor. MC: Energy shields and Heavy Armor that allows one to survive a fall from space. I don't know exactly how Cap's shield will react to that armor, but it won't do much. It will hardly damage his shields. Absorbing vibrations won't help against magnetic shielding. Point: Chief
Strategy/Tactics: Both have had extensive military training, both have fought through wars. No point awarded.
Final:
Cap 1
MC 2
What it turns out to be is two super-soldiers facing off.
But Master Chief is from the future, so he wins
Master Chief has had extensive training since birth
But that's wrong.
-
Oh yeah, it was from age 5 I think. But still, he was extensively trained from a very young age
-
Six, actually. Six to fourteen. Eight years total.

Why would you comment on a post from OCTOBER
-
I wasn't aware there was some kind of deadline.

Good point, I guess I do this all the time
Long Range: Cap shield may be indestructible, but if throwing a shield was better than guns, everyone would do it: Point Chief
If everybody could throw a shield like Cap, everyone would be doing it. Point: Chief
Chief fell two kilometers while using a piece of forerunner metal as a shield, and even then he nearly died, regardless of his armor. But yeah, in terms of full-body protection, John has this down.
Strategy/Tactics: Both have had extensive military training, both have fought through wars. No point awarded.
True.
But Master Chief is from the future
He's not from Marvel's future. This doesn't matter.

But Master Chief is from the future
He's not from Marvel's future. This doesn't matter.
What I was trying to say is that they are very evenly matched, with Master Chief having the advantage because he has future technology. He has the best the Military can offer in the 26th century, whereas Cap has the best the military can offer in the 20th century. I guess cap has more than a slight advantage in close range, but Chief really is much better at long range. Also, you sir, earn my respect for these two things:
This is fair.

True
Thank you for not being pigheadedly stubborn(Superman, Gojira)

Gojira isn't that stubborn. Superman, on the other hand...

I guess your right
