I've had it about the last three years. My hearin started to go after about a month of it. Gotta wear hearing aides now. Started when I was 24.
Is it super hard to deal with? Yes but you get used to it. But I'm not gonna pretend like its not a regular thing that it bothers me. Not to start a war about whose is worse but my ringing is particularly bad compared to how others I have met describe their ringing.

Edited by Snake Plissken: 9/19/2013 7:17:06 PMYeah I've heard that it's particularly distressing for a few weeks or months but after that you just get used to it. I haven't had an audiogram done yet, but I'm certain that I've got moderate hearing loss.

Mine is still distressing but only at times. Yours doesn't sound that bad yet so be thankful. Mine went from a clean high pitched ring to three overlapping an varying ringings to buzzing in my head +plus all the old stuff and now it is all that plus chirping and ticking and low "explosions" that happen randomly but most of the noises are constant and LOUD. you will get use to it but just try to remember that it's not as bad as what some people have to deal with(cancer, heart disease, etc.) I have 90 db hearing loss across all frequencies but at least I can hear somewhat, with hearing aides

Sorry to hear that dude. Best of luck.

Don't worry about me. Just preparing you for things that may or may not happen. Hopefully your ringing doesn't get worse and your hearing stats steady. If its an outer ear thing I don't know if its as bad but If your inner ear nerve is dying it can make weird things happen. How's your balance? Mine is off sometimes and I noticed it a lot a first.

Also I sincerely hope that your hearing doesn't get worse than it already is and I'm sorry it happened to you. Going through that stuff is probably the hardest thing ever for me. You'll be alright overall though
