Eh, I don't know what American(?) universities call their subjects. I know it here as MATH2000, and it's the third mandatory math course you take as an engineer. Extra credit seems fine, if a bit strange

Yeah Calc 3 is the third mandatory class for engineers here in the US also. It's probably equivalent.
