Why are atheists always going on about how they're atheists?

  • Is this directed towards me or the researchers who led the study?

Perhaps it's because religion has been studied for millenniums and has always been the majority since it was first established?

That doesn't make remotely any sense as to why atheists are always going on about how they're atheists. What I find funny is how they're a group that lacks faith but try to organize themselves like a religion.

  • That's because atheists don't always go on about how they're atheists. I rarely mention my irreligious viewpoint unless it's relevant to the discussion. I pointed out why atheists seem to talk about their atheism so much compared to religious people. It's no different why there are more people talking about their "gay pride" as opposed to "homosexual pride" even though there are far more heterosexuals in society.

You have a pretty good point. Although atheists do mention they're lack of faith quite often. I never really have had any religious person mention their faith, although atheist seem to be very vocal about it, especially online, which is accompanied by hostility. It is what it is I guess, but there's good reason why I don't like to identify myself with the atheist community.
