I was modding body proportions on SCV last night (or rather this morning) and accidentally made a few of my characters the size of a leg, with arms that were stretched out like wings. Fortunately I didn't crash the game or anything and always have backup saves. I fixed that problem but now I have a new one, and I don't know what it is.

Ha Soul Calibur 5? How is the character creation process this time around?

Edited by Oneironaut: 9/14/2013 6:23:45 AMIt's pretty good, but it's not perfect. There's little things here and there that will annoy a person who's really into making characters. I never got around to playing SCIII or IV but from some videos I've seen there's a decent amount of stuff from them that should have been in V. There's not a lot of DLC either, which imo fighting games shouldn't have DLC for stuff that should be unlockable.

I only played 2 and 3, IMO, 3 was the best in the series, it started to degrade in quality after that. Especially after what I saw Angry joe say about it, they really took out some good features for no reason.

Yeah SCV messed up in a lot of ways. The game play is fine, in fact I like it the most, but getting rid of the core game modes that past SC games had was a very stupid decision, and that story mode... Ugh...

Like Weapons Master, or the Maze of Souls. Story mode was like a basic arcade I saw, no substances and overall pretty shoddy.

Edited by Oneironaut: 9/14/2013 6:46:53 AMThe actual arcade modes from previous SC games are infinitely times better than the story mode and arcade mode in SCV combined. The only enjoyable mode that doesn't involve online play is quick battle (and even then that gets pretty boring).

Sorry to hear it's such a disappointment for the most part, but hey, look ahead, there's a Soul Calibur HD remake coming soon, it's based on either 2 or 3 I can't remember. Supposed to come out this year.
