YES MOTHERF*CKERS THE T. REX IS BACK ON THE COVER THANK GOD THIS DIRECTOR WAS BORN WITH A SHRED OF COMMON SENSE Though I really hope the main dinosaur isn't the T. Rex. I'd like it to be like JP1, where the Rex is just the hulking bada$$ sh1tting on everything from time to time, but with a smaller, more terrifying dinosaur species taking center stage.

    A) Spinosaurus is fascinating specimen. However, the degenerate sh1thead we got in JP3 is not the dinosaur I love. B) Carcharadontosaurus is like pure bada$$. C) To end the goddamn debate before it begins: In reality, if we're using similar size estimates to Rex, Rex would take the fight against Spinosaurus. I'd take a similarly sized Carnosaur/Tyrannosaurid anyday over a Spinosaurid. I'd say anything up to 15 meters Rex can take. 16 is a bit iffy for me, slightly leaning towards Spinosaurus. BUT the hulking 17+ meter Spinosaurus is just an absolute stomp for Spino. However, I have doubts with the 17+ meter estimate. They upscaled from Baryonyx to achieve the length. This method casts huge doubts. When using similar methods to guess Gorgosaurus size from Tyrannosaurus, people get 11-12 meters, which is just full retard. I'm hovering at a 15/16 max for Spinosaurus based on the remains we have now. Final thoughts: -JP3 fight is about as accurate a depiction as your average episode of Barney -Similar sized Rex takes the fight -Absolute sizes Spino takes the fight, easily -Rex fanboys are idiots -Spino fanboys are pseudo intellectual dumba$$es D) Spinosaurus stomps Carcharodontosaurus into dust within seconds.

I'm in my final year as well. They're not nice. Trust me, you're far, far better off retaining your brain cells when debating against people who can't see beyond their fanboyism. Tyrannosaurus is my favorite dinosaur, and while I would favor it against almost any similarly sized large carnivore, it's easy to see a Spinosaurus of that size would win with little to no trouble.

Ehhh. Carnotaurus has already been done by Disney (albeit in a laughably inaccurate 40+ foot depiction). Baryonyx just feels like JP3 again, and I'm sensing this director wants to leave that crap in the past. I'd personally go for something like... Achillobator.

    A) That was Megaraptor. B) Megaraptor reconstruction is now outdated. We now know Megaraptor was actually a carnosaur with the toe claw on its hand rather than its feet. C) Warpath was fun, but definitely not canon XD.

  • A) achillobator sounds like a dino with a serious thing for feet B) doesn't matter, utah raptor is close enough and gigantic in size C) V. mongolensis was chicken sized but visually they used a related raptor instead so substitution isn't unusual.

    A) Utahraptor sounds like 'Murica incarnated. B) Not really gigantic, and it's barely 6 feet tall. C) Actually their explanation was to have two different species of Velociraptor. So I wouldn't rule another BS explanation out, but I don't see it happening.
