After the disappointing AC3, this looks quite good. I still liked AC3 though, unlike most people.

I think the franchise went downhill after AC: Brotherhood.
-
And you're free too. I haven't played them all completely, but I liked Brotherhood and Revelations, though they were mostly the same as AC2. AC3 changed more than they did, and AC4 is changing even more.
-
AC3 was a good game but I really hated the ending one of the worst endings I've ever seen but the game is a blast especially the naval missions
-
I loved AC3
-
Agreed didn't think it was that bad could have used some improvements tho
-
Yeah, mainly just a better story, less glitches and lag. So many people didn't like Connor. I loved him though, some of my favorite parts were Connor and his "father". I forgot his name. The guy that trains you.
-
Hathen I think
-
Haytham, that's his real father's name. The other guy, I can't remember.
-
Ohh Achilles
-
Yeah, him.
-
Yeah. I can understand where some people were coming from with their arguments though such as changing combat (I was okay with either way), and Connor being a bit bland (but he shines a bit more in the Homestead missions I felt), also the extremely long set up for the story.
-
I loved the Homestead missions, I hope a similar feature is in AC3.
-
I did too, my only problem was I had a hard time figuring out when a new one was available and trying to find the people to accept the mission was a problem sometimes because they seemed to disappear - especially for the mission where you had to observe the settlers doing daily chores.
-
Oh yeah, that one was a bitch. I have 99% completion on AC3, almost every trophy/achievement. There are a few missions left where I have to complete sync, I can't be bothered though, they're so annoying.
-
That was my main problem with AC3! The secondary objectives seemed ridiculously hard and/or annoying a lot of the time. Obviously they're optional, but if you want 100% you have to do them... also it doesn't help I felt obligated to do them. Thankfully my friend helped me out on the last two I needed to do.
-
Ya I actually preferred the new combat system to the old and I understand why he was bland he didn't show much emotion because he was fully focused on bringing down the templars. It was his one goal because they took away his mother and attacked his village as a boy.
-
New combat felt more aggressive than defensive which was nice. And Connor was definitely much more down to business. Also side characters weren't as big of a part in his story like in Ezio's, where he had a whole group of people interacting with him during his main missions in THREE games so that brought out many different sides to Ezio's character.

Ya its like the first time they have gone on the offensive its usually like hold down the trigger and keep reversing and you'd be fine then they changed it up
